How to Be a Beta Tester

Our software is used by tens of thousands of people all over the world. We try not to take updates to it lightly, because we realise that we could be breaking things for a whole lot of people. To that end, we maintain a public and open beta test group that gets early access to our software in return for testing it and reporting bugs and problems to our developers, and helping us to get them resolved.

Joining the beta test is pretty easy. You just need to join our beta mailing list and wait for us to announce a new release. When you get the release, please be aware that it will almost certainly (despite our best efforts) contain bugs. We never recommend using a beta release in any situation where complete and utter meltdown of our software would be problematic for you. But if you're ok with some bugs and would like to help us out, we'd love to hear your feedback and bug reports before we roll it out to all of our users.
